GEORGETOWN, Ky. (July 2, 2025) -- Georgetown Community Hospital is proud to announce the addition of Imtiaz Hussain, MD to the team of specialists on its medical staff. Dr. Hussain, a highly skilled pulmonologist, brings years of experience to Georgetown.
Dr. Hussain attended medical school at Rawalpindi Medical School in Rawalpindi, Pakistan and residency at Punjab University. He continued his education with a fellowship at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky.
He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of lung diseases and breathing disorders, offering care for patients with conditions such as asthma, COPD, pulmonary infections and more. Dr. Hussain will treat critical care patients in the Intensive Care Unit at Georgetown Community Hospital, providing advanced care for those with severe respiratory conditions. Dr. Hussain also performs bronchoscopy and other lung procedures to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. His comprehensive approach ensures that patients receive timely, personalized care—whether they are facing chronic pulmonary issues or acute respiratory distress.
